Educational Qualification:

  1. Essential:

    • A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Candidates possessing qualifications in Part II of the Third Schedule must also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act).

    • A Postgraduate Degree or equivalent qualification in the respective discipline/subject as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and National Medical Commission Act, 2019.

    • Must be registered in a State Medical Register or National Medical Register, except for candidates with non-medical qualifications.

Pay Scale (As per 7th CPC):

  • Professor: Level 14A (₹1,68,900 – ₹2,20,400)

  • Additional Professor: Level 13A2+ (₹1,48,200 – ₹2,11,400)

  • Associate Professor: Level 13A1+ (₹1,38,300 – ₹2,09,200)

  • Assistant Professor: Level 12 (₹1,01,500 – ₹1,67,400)
