Eligibility & Qualification:

A. For Officers of Central/State Governments, Universities, or Recognized Research Institutions:

  1. Master’s degree in Political Science/Public Administration with 55% marks or equivalent.

  2. Must have cleared UGC NET/CSIR NET/SLET/SET, or hold a Ph.D. as per UGC regulations.

  3. Ph.D. candidates registered prior to 11th July 2009 must fulfill conditions on thesis evaluation, publications, and conference presentations to be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.

B. For Ph.D. from Foreign Universities:

  • Ph.D. degree obtained from a top 500 ranked university (QS/THE/ARWU ranking) is considered eligible.

NET/SLET/SET not required for disciplines where it is not conducted.
