📌 Research Position

  • Designation: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

  • Project Title: UAAV based eDNA mapping of an aquatic ecosystem of Loktak Lake for fishery management

  • Funding Agency: Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India

🎓 Essential Qualification

  • M.Tech / M.E. in Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, Water Resources, Ocean/Environmental Engineering, or related fields
    OR

  • M.Sc. in Marine Science, Environmental Science, Oceanography, Applied Geology, or related disciplines

Additional Requirement: GATE / NET / DBT-BET (Category II) qualified

✅ Desirable Skills

  • Aerial photogrammetry & spectral image acquisition

  • Geospatial tools (ENVI, QGIS/ArcGIS)

  • Hydrographic surveys, bathymetry, echo sounders

  • Shoreline mapping & aquatic zone characterization

  • Python & MATLAB for scientific computing

  • Machine learning / deep learning applications

  • Water sampling & preservation techniques

💰 Fellowship

  • ₹31,000 + 27% HRA (₹39,370 per month) as per DBT norms

  • Project Duration: 3 Years
