Designation:   SRF and JRF

Title of the project: Investigations into the planning and design aspects governing the selective coal cutting technology using surface miner for various rock conditions for clean coal production

Tenure of Project: 11 months or co-terminus of the project (i.e., up to 31/07/2025)

Qualification: 

• JRF: B.E./ B.Tech. in Mining Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Mining Machinery Engineering with 1st Class having valid GATE score. Or M.E./ M. Tech. in Mining Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Mining Machinery Engineering with 1st Class having valid GATE score.
• SRF: B.E./ B.Tech and M.E./ M. Tech in Mining Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Mining Machinery Engineering with 1st Class having valid GATE score and 2 years of Research/ Industrial experience.

Job Description:

• JRF: Laboratory testing of coal and rocks samples, mine visits, lab and field data curation, numerical modelling, report preparation.
• SRF: Numerical modelling and analysis of cutting drum of surface miner using FEA software, laboratory testing using Rotary Cutting Rig, mine visit, rock sample data collection, presentation, and overall coordination of project.

Fellowship: 

• JRF: Rs. 37,000/- pm and 
• SRF: Rs. 42,000/- pm (HRA would be applicable only if Hostel accommodation is not provided)
