College Profile: V R Siddhartha Engineering College, founded in 1977 as the 1st self-financing engineering institution in the composite state of Andhra Pradesh. At 2006, the college has granted Autonomous Status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) , is permanently affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTUK), with approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). In March 2024, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, designated the college as a Deemed to be University _ Section 3 of the UGC Act of 1956. The institution has achieved accreditation from the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an A+ grade. All undergraduate programs have received accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) , the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Tier–I format & five postgraduate engineering programs have accredited.

The college has consistently ranked within the 151-200 band in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) for 2024 & 2023, with previous rankings of 141 in 2022, 178 in 2021, 156 in 2020, & 171 in 2019, as assessed by the Ministry of Education.
