About the Project:
The Greenko School of Sustainability at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT-H) is seeking a highly motivated Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a cutting-edge project titled “Unassisted Solar Seawater Splitting PEC Cells for Sustainable Hydrogen Generation.” This research aims to develop innovative photoelectrochemical (PEC) technologies for green hydrogen production, contributing to global sustainability goals.


Position Details:

Job Title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Project Duration: 4 Years
Fellowship: ₹75,000 per month (consolidated)

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Educational Qualification:

    • First-class Master’s degree (M.Sc/M.Tech) in Chemistry/Materials Science/Chemical Engineering or related fields.

    • Valid GATE score or CSIR-UGC NET (LS) qualification.

    • Candidates with prior research experience in electrochemistry, renewable energy, or nanomaterials will be preferred.

  2. Skills Required:

    • Hands-on experience with photoelectrochemical cells (PEC), catalysis, or solar energy conversion.

    • Proficiency in material characterization techniques (XRD, SEM, FTIR, etc.).

    • Strong analytical and computational skills (e.g., MATLAB, COMSOL).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and fabricate PEC cells for seawater splitting.

  • Conduct experiments to optimize hydrogen generation efficiency.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to publish findings in high-impact journals.

  • Assist in project documentation and reporting to funding agencies.
