Key Responsibilities
The Junior Consultant will play a pivotal role in advancing the SBC Cell’s objectives, with duties including:

Report to the Nodal Faculty-in-Charge and support the SBC Cell’s operational and strategic goals.

Align SBC interventions with DRR priorities under the Disaster Management Act, 2005.

Stakeholder Engagement:
-
Collaborate with State/District Disaster Management Authorities (SDMAs/DDMAs), NGOs, and community groups.

Conduct needs assessments, identify gaps, and design targeted DRR strategies.

Capacity Building & Training:
-
Organize workshops, awareness campaigns, and advocacy programs to promote DRR.

Develop training modules and deliver sessions for stakeholders.

Documentation & Reporting:
-
Prepare reports, case studies, and best practice guidelines.

Monitor SBC activities and recommend improvements.

Eligibility Criteria
Academic Qualifications:
-
Essential: Master’s degree in Disaster Management, Climate Change, Social Sciences, Mass Communication, or Psychology.

Desirable: Advanced degree in Social/Behavioral Sciences (e.g., Sociology, Psychology, Risk Communication).
Work Experience:

Essential:
-
Minimum 2 years in research, social work, or disaster management (government/training institutes preferred).

Proficiency in MS Office, report writing, and fieldwork/data collection.

Desirable:

Experience with data collection software and DRR field projects.

Skills & Competencies:

Fluency in English and Hindi (additional Indian languages are a plus).

Strong communication, advocacy, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments.
