Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the RTP/DUPR scholarships, applicants must:

Be enrolled or intend to enroll in an HDR course (Master’s by Research or PhD) at Deakin University.

Not hold an equivalent Commonwealth-funded HDR scholarship.

Income Restriction: Not receive income exceeding 75% of the stipend rate ($35,550) for general living costs during the course (exemptions apply for unrelated income).

Academic Requirements:

Completed at least four years of tertiary education with a minimum 80% score (or equivalent) in the research component.

Equivalent research experience (e.g., publications, work experience) may be considered.

Meet Deakin’s HDR Admission, Selection, and Enrolment Procedure requirements.
Current HDR Students: Eligible if they have not exceeded 3 years (PhD) or 2 years (Master’s) of their course (or part-time equivalent).
