Research Position

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Project Details

  • Title of the Project: Development of wide-bandgap semiconductors-based highly efficient power electronics systems for Electric Vehicle

  • Funding Agency: Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Govt. of India

  • Project Duration: 36 months

    • (The selected JRF will also have the opportunity to register for a Ph.D. program at IIT Roorkee as per institute norms.)

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must have:

  • A minimum of 4-year Bachelor’s degree OR a Master’s degree in:

    • Electrical Engineering

    • Electrical and Electronics Engineering

    • Or equivalent disciplines

  • Qualified in a national level test such as:

    • GATE / CEED / JEST / UGC-NET / CSIR-NET (including lectureship) / Ph.D. only

  • Exemption: National-level qualification is not required for candidates with > 8.0 CGPA in their qualifying degree from MoE-funded Technical Institutions (erstwhile CFTIs).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Research/project experience in Machine Design and Electric Drives is highly desirable.

Fellowship / Stipend

  • JRF: ₹37,000/- per month (first two years) + HRA (as per ANRF norms)

  • SRF: ₹42,000/- per month (third year) + HRA (as per ANRF norms)
