Job Title/Designation

VICE CHANCELLOR

Qualification

  • Ph.D. in Engineering & Technology/Medicine or equivalent senior executive experience in research-driven or knowledge-intensive industries.

Experience

  • Senior academic/industry leader with at least 10 years of top-level institutional or organizational management experience.

Key Competencies Expected

1. Higher Education and Academic Leadership

  • Experience in Outcome-Based Education (OBE) frameworks, curriculum innovation, research, and product/process design & development.

  • Exposure to both national and international academic ecosystems.

2. Organizational and Financial Management

  • Expertise in institutional governance, management systems, and procedures.

  • Strong ability in budget management, financial planning, and resource optimization.

3. Industry and Institutional Engagement

  • Strong liaison with universities, statutory authorities, industries, and CSR organizations.

  • Proven ability to foster partnerships and collaborations.

4. Strategic Governance and Digital Transformation

  • Expertise in policy formulation, institutional governance, and digital system integration.

  • Knowledge of academic/administrative digitization, branding, promotions, and institutional positioning.

5. Strategic Planning and Growth

  • Visionary leadership in international collaborations, sustainability, and inclusive development.

  • Proven track record of long-term institutional growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Ph.D. in Engineering & Technology/Medicine OR equivalent senior executive experience.

  • 10+ years of top-level leadership in academia or industry.

  • Strong record of research, innovation, or enterprise leadership with measurable outcomes.

  • Experience in leading large, cross-functional, multicultural teams.

  • Visionary, strategic thinker with proven ability in policy-making and operational execution.
