  • Professor: Ph.D. with 10+ years post-PhD teaching/research experience (4 years at Associate Professor level in IITs/IISc/IIMs/NITIE/IISERs).

  • Associate Professor: Ph.D. with 6+ years teaching/research experience (3 years at Assistant Professor/Senior Scientific Officer level).

  • Assistant Professor Grade I: Ph.D. with 3+ years of industrial/research/teaching experience (excluding Ph.D. period).

Pay Scale

  • Professor – Pay Level 14A (₹1,59,100/-)

  • Associate Professor – Pay Level 13A2 (₹1,39,600/-)

  • Assistant Professor Grade I – Pay Level 12 (₹1,01,500/-)

    • Eligible for Level 13A1 (₹1,31,400/-) after 3 years + evaluation
