About the Program

PhD Applications are invited from meritorious students who have a CGPA of 9.0 and above in their BTech/BE/BS/BDes/MSc degrees from IITs, NITs, IISc, IISERs & CFTIs for admission to the Direct PhD (High CGPA) Program at IIT Hyderabad with high-value Institute Fellowships.

Fellowship Details

  • Fellowship Amount: ₹50,000/month (JRF level for the first 2 years) and ₹55,000/month (SRF level for the next 3 years)

  • Fellowship Duration: 5 years

Eligibility Criteria

  • Final CGPA of 9.0 or above in BTech/BE/BS/BDes/MSc.

  • Graduating institute must be one of: IITs, NITs, IISc, IISERs, or CFTIs.

  • GATE qualification not required.

  • Students in the 7th semester with CGPA ≥ 9.0 may apply (admission subject to maintaining 9.0 after the 8th semester).
