Job Description & Key Responsibilities:

1. Student Welfare & Discipline

  • Ensure safety, well-being, and discipline of hostel residents

  • Enforce hostel rules and promptly address violations

  • Counsel students on personal, social, and academic matters

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for student grievances

2. Administrative & Operational Duties

  • Maintain accurate student records (attendance, medical details, emergency contacts)

  • Oversee room allotments and check-in/check-out procedures

  • Coordinate with staff to maintain hostel cleanliness and infrastructure

  • Monitor hostel budget and ensure optimal resource usage

3. Safety & Security Management

  • Implement and monitor security measures

  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas

  • Handle emergencies in coordination with security and medical teams

4. Health & Hygiene Oversight

  • Ensure hygiene standards across hostel facilities

  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams

  • Facilitate first aid and medical assistance when required

5. Student Engagement & Activities

  • Organize cultural, recreational, and educational programs

  • Encourage leadership roles and participation in hostel committees

  • Foster community spirit among hostel residents

6. Communication & Reporting

  • Maintain communication with parents regarding student welfare

  • Submit periodic reports on hostel activities and issues

  • Coordinate with college departments as needed
