Organization Profile

IIEST, Shibpur is one of India’s premier engineering institutions and holds the status of an Institute of National Importance. The project is associated with the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), the world’s first and only university dedicated exclusively to Forensic Science, Cybersecurity, Behavioral Science, Digital Forensics, and allied disciplines. NFSU was established by the Government of India through the Act 32 of 2020, to address the growing demand for trained forensic professionals in India and worldwide.

Qualification Requirements

Candidates must possess ANY of the following from a recognized university:

  • Master’s Degree in

    • Natural Sciences

    • Agricultural Sciences

    • Biotechnology

    • Biomedical Engineering

    • Instrumentation

    • Electronics & Communication Engineering

    • Allied Life Sciences fields

  • OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology

  • OR Medicine (MBBS / BHMS)

  • Must have First Class or equivalent at the qualifying level.

Fellowship Scale

Year Fellowship HRA (30%) Total per month
1st & 2nd Year ₹25,000 ₹7,500 ₹32,500
3rd Year ₹28,000 ₹8,400 ₹36,400

Engagement Period

  • Initially 6 months

  • Extendable up to 36 months (or till completion of project) based on performance
