Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University (formerly Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University), established on 12th June 1964 at Hyderabad, is one of India’s leading agricultural universities. It was inaugurated by Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri in 1965 and later saw significant expansion under the guidance of Late Smt. Indira Gandhi in 1966.

The university was renamed in 1996 to honor Acharya N. G. Ranga — a renowned parliamentarian, freedom fighter, educationist, and kisan leader. ANGRAU is dedicated to advancing agricultural education, research, and extension activities, impacting the farming community and rural development at large.

Qualifications:

Applicants must fulfill any one of the following academic qualifications along with required experience:

Educational Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in the relevant subject
    OR

  • Master’s Degree in the relevant subject

  • Bachelor’s Degree of 4/5 years with First Division or equivalent OGPA.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of teaching/research experience
    (evidenced through Fellowship/Associateship/Training/other engagements)

Research Requirement:

  • At least one research paper published in a Science Citation Index (SCI) or NAAS-rated ≥ 4.0 journal

Job Location:

Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh

Duration of the Post:

11 months from date of joining or till a regular appointment is made — whichever is earlier.

Salary:

  • ₹61,000 + HRA (Master’s Degree holders)

  • ₹67,000 + HRA (Ph.D. holders)
