Job Description

Mahindra University invites applications from highly motivated and qualified candidates for a Faculty position in Transportation Engineering. The selected faculty member will contribute to teaching, research, and industry collaboration in emerging areas of transportation systems and infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering

  • Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with First Class or equivalent

Required Expertise Areas

Candidates should have strong research and teaching interest in one or more of the following areas:

  • Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV), V2X communications, and integration with transport infrastructure

  • Applications of Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data analytics, and Cyber-Physical Systems in transportation

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications, including sensor-based transportation infrastructure monitoring and safety enhancement

  • GIS-based, data-driven sustainable urban street infrastructure planning and design

Required / Desirable Skills

  1. Ability to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Transportation Engineering

  2. Demonstrated research interest with publications in peer-reviewed journals in at least one of the specified expertise areas

  3. Strong interest in writing funded research proposals and collaborating with industry partners
