Essential Qualifications

Engineering Disciplines

  • B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. with Ph.D. in relevant discipline

  • First class in preceding degrees

  • Direct Ph.D. after B.E./B.Tech. with first class also eligible

Architecture & Planning

  • B.Arch. and M.Arch./M.Plan. or equivalent

  • Assistant Professor eligibility based on professional experience:

    • 1 year experience – AGP ₹6000

    • 2 years experience – AGP ₹7000

Non-Engineering Departments

  • Ph.D. in relevant discipline

  • First class in preceding degrees or minimum 6.5 CGPA / 60% marks

Experience Requirements

Experience will be considered as per GoI, Ministry of Education (MoE) Clarification No. 7 (16 April 2019) from:

  • Fully funded Central Educational Institutions

  • IIMs, Management & Research Institutions ranked by NIRF

  • State Government funded Institutions

  • NIRF-ranked Universities/Institutes

Less than six months of discrete experience will not be counted.

Pay Scale

  • Assistant Professor Grade II: Pay Level 10

  • Assistant Professor Grade I: Pay Level 12

  • Associate Professor: Pay Level 13A2

  • Professor: Pay Level 14A
