Essential Qualifications

  • First Division in both UG & PG is mandatory

  • PhD in relevant discipline as per department requirements

  • Qualifications and experience must comply with Schedule “E” of NIT (Amendment Statutes, 2017)

  • One degree (UG/PG/PhD) must be from CFTI / Central or State University / Top 100 NIRF-ranked institutions

  • Foreign degrees must be from institutions ranked within QS/THE Top 500

Experience Considered

  • Central / State Government funded institutions

  • NIRF-ranked Universities / Engineering Institutes

  • IIMs & Management Institutes (NIRF up to 50)

  • CSIR, DRDO, ISRO, DST, DBT, DAE, MNRE, and other R&D organizations

  • PSU / Private Industry experience (turnover > ₹500 Crore)

  • Post-Doctoral Fellowship (for Assistant Professor up to Pay Level 12)

Pay Scale (7th CPC)

  • Assistant Professor (Grade-II): Pay Level 10

  • Assistant Professor: Pay Level 12

  • Associate Professor: Pay Level 13A2

  • Professor: Pay Level 14A

Age Limit

  • Fresh appointments beyond 60 years are discouraged, except for candidates with outstanding academic/research credentials.
