🎓 Eligibility

Distinguished professionals from industry, research organizations, and professional fields who have made remarkable contributions in their domain are eligible.

  • Candidates should have proven expertise in engineering, science, technology, architecture, planning, entrepreneurship, or social sciences.

  • Professionals holding senior roles or retired experts are also eligible.

  • Teaching professionals (serving or retired) are not eligible for Professor of Practice positions.

🎓 Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design or related field

  • For Science / Humanities / Management, a Postgraduate Degree is mandatory

  • Ph.D. is desirable but not mandatory

  • Lack of Ph.D. may be compensated with strong professional expertise and experience.

🧑‍💼 Experience

  • Professor of Practice: 10–15 years of relevant professional experience

  • Associate Professor of Practice: 5–10 years of relevant experience

Candidates with experience in senior management positions such as CEO / CTO / VP / Director will be preferred. Retired professionals from industry and R&D organizations are also eligible.

⏳ Duration of Appointment

  • Contract basis

  • Initially 1 year, extendable up to 3 years or 70 years of age, whichever is earlier.

  • Extension will be based on performance and committee recommendations.

💰 Pay Scale

  • Professor of Practice: ₹1.2 Lakhs per month + allowances up to ₹20,000

  • Associate Professor of Practice: ₹1 Lakh per month + allowances up to ₹20,000
