Banda University of Agriculture and Technology (BUAT) located in Banda, Uttar Pradesh, is the first agricultural university established in the Bundelkhand region. The university was established on 2 March 2010 under the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture University Act (Sanshodhan) 1958 Gazette-Adhiniyam 2010.

Initially named Manyawar Shri Kanshiram Ji University of Agriculture and Technology, the university was renamed Banda University of Agriculture and Technology in 2014 through an amendment of the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture University Act. BUAT focuses on agricultural education, veterinary sciences, research, and extension services to support sustainable agricultural development in the Bundelkhand region.

Qualification

Professor

• Recognized veterinary qualification listed in the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984

• Must be registered with State Veterinary Council / Veterinary Council of India

• Doctoral degree in relevant discipline

• Minimum 10 years teaching / research / extension experience in relevant field

Retired eminent faculty with strong research, teaching, and publication record may also be considered.

Associate Professor

• Recognized veterinary qualification under the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984

• Registration with Veterinary Council of India / State Veterinary Council

• Doctoral degree in relevant discipline

• Minimum 8 years teaching / research / extension experience

Tenure of Appointment

• Initially one academic year

• Extendable based on university requirements and performance

Remuneration

Adjunct Professor

• ₹2000 per lecture

• Maximum ₹4000 per day

• Maximum ₹80,000 per month

Adjunct Associate Professor

• ₹1500 per lecture

• Maximum ₹3000 per day

• Maximum ₹60,000 per month

Additional Benefits:

• Travel allowance up to six visits per academic year

• Campus accommodation may be provided subject to availability
