Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
- Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Earth Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences, Geophysics, or related disciplines.
- Significant post-doctoral research experience.
- Original and high-quality published research contributions.
- Evidence of scientific excellence through recognitions such as:
- Fellowship of national/international academies
- National or international scientific awards
- Other distinguished professional recognitions
Required Experience
Candidates must possess:
- Extensive post-doctoral research experience.
- Proven administrative and leadership experience commensurate with Pay Level-15 positions under the Government of India.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should:
- Demonstrate outstanding scientific leadership in a reputed research institution or university.
- Have an excellent publication record in internationally reputed peer-reviewed journals.

- Be familiar with Government of India procedures, DST guidelines, and research administration.

Salary
Pay Level-15 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC) Pay Matrix along with applicable allowances as per Government of India rules.
