SIES College of Commerce and Economics was established in May 1989 by the South Indian Education Society (SIES) to cater to the growing demand for quality commerce education in Mumbai. The institution was inaugurated by the then Vice-President of India, Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must possess:
- A Postgraduate Degree (M.Com./M.Sc.) in the relevant subject with a minimum of 50% marks (Second Class).
- A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree.
Qualifications and pay scales shall be as prescribed by the Education Department, Government of Maharashtra.
Candidate Profile
- Must possess the prescribed educational qualifications.
- Should satisfy all eligibility norms laid down by the Government of Maharashtra.
- Must demonstrate strong subject knowledge and effective teaching skills.
- Should be willing to teach at the Junior College level.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills are desirable.
