Essential Qualifications

Candidates must satisfy any one of the following:

Option 1

  • M.E./M.Tech in:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Electronics & Communication Engineering
    • Computer Science & Engineering
    • Information Technology
    • Allied disciplines
  • Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA.
  • Valid GATE Score.

Option 2

  • B.E./B.Tech in:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Electronics & Communication Engineering
    • Computer Science & Engineering
    • Information Technology
    • Allied disciplines
  • Minimum 80% marks or 8.5 CGPA.
  • Valid GATE Score with at least 80 Percentile.

Relaxation: As per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/DA candidates.

Final Year Candidates

Candidates currently in the final semester may also apply. Selected candidates must submit qualifying degree results and related certificates by 30 September 2026.

Job Responsibilities

The selected JRF will work on:

  • Cyber-security of EV charging infrastructure
  • Grid Emulator and EVSE integration
  • EV Battery Management Systems (BMS)
  • IoT-based cyber-attack generation and testing
  • AI-driven cyber-security control frameworks
  • Fault diagnosis and vulnerability analysis
  • Development of intelligent control modules for EV charging stations

Salary Details

First & Second Year

  • Fellowship: ₹37,000/- per month
  • HRA (30%): ₹11,100/-
  • Total: ₹48,100/- per month

Third Year

  • Fellowship: ₹42,000/- per month
  • HRA (30%): ₹12,600/-
  • Total: ₹54,600/- per month

  • Opportunity to register for a Ph.D. program at IIEST Shibpur as per institute rules.

Age Limit

  • Maximum Age: 32 Years
