Salary
- Pay Scale: Rs. 2,10,000/- (Fixed)
- Special Allowance: Rs. 11,250/-
- Total Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 2,21,250/-
Appointment Type
The Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed as per the provisions of the U.P. State University Act, 1973 (as adapted and modified in Uttarakhand) and relevant Government notifications.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Be a distinguished academician with a minimum of 10 years of experience as Professor in a University system or equivalent.
- Have the highest level of competence, integrity, morals, and institutional commitment.
- Possess proven academic leadership and administrative capabilities.
- Demonstrate a strong record of academic and research achievements.
Age Limit
The Vice-Chancellor shall hold office for a term of three years from the date of assumption of charge or until attaining the age of 68 years, whichever is earlier.

- Act as the Principal Executive and Academic Officer of the University.
- Provide academic leadership and strategic direction.
- Strengthen teaching, research, innovation, and institutional development.
- Ensure effective governance and administration of the University.
