Salary

  • ₹1,500 per lecture
  • Maximum remuneration: ₹50,000 per month

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

  • Master’s Degree in Geography with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) from a recognized Indian or accredited foreign university.
  • NET conducted by UGC/CSIR or SLET/SET qualification.

NET Exemption

Candidates possessing a Ph.D. are eligible for exemption from NET/SLET/SET as per applicable UGC Regulations.

Applicants who registered for their Ph.D. before 11 July 2009 will be considered according to the applicable UGC provisions, subject to fulfillment of the prescribed conditions.

Nature of Appointment

  • Purely temporary.
  • Valid for the Academic Session 2026–27 or until the General Selection Committee fills the post on a regular basis, whichever is earlier.
  • The University reserves the right to terminate the appointment without assigning any reason.
