Educational Qualification
Professor & Associate Professor: Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in the relevant branch along with First Class or equivalent at either the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level, subject to the applicable department-wise requirements.
Assistant Professor: Candidates should possess B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in the relevant branch with First Class or equivalent.
Additional department-specific qualifications may apply. For example, NET/SLET qualification is applicable to certain Chemistry positions, while Council of Architecture (CoA) registration requirements apply to relevant Architecture positions.

Desirable Qualification – Assistant Professor
For Assistant Professor positions, candidates possessing a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline, published research papers and/or teaching experience at a degree-level institution may receive preference, as applicable.
Experience
Professor: Minimum 10 years of teaching, research or industry experience, including at least 3 years in a post equivalent to Associate Professor.
Associate Professor: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years of post-Ph.D. experience.
The experience requirements for Architecture and Planning positions may differ and candidates should refer to the detailed notification.
Age Limit
- Professor: Maximum 55 years
- Associate Professor: Maximum 50 years
- Assistant Professor: Maximum 35 years
Age relaxation is applicable as per Government norms:
- SC/ST/PwBD: Up to 5 years
- OBC: Up to 3 years
