Essential Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in the appropriate discipline with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree level and a very good academic record throughout their education.
Candidates should also have a good CPI/CGPA/percentage in Ph.D. coursework, wherever applicable.
Experience
Assistant Professor Grade-II – Contract
Candidates with less than three years of post-Ph.D. industrial, research, or teaching experience may be considered for Assistant Professor Grade-II.
Assistant Professor Grade-I – Regular
Candidates with at least three years of post-Ph.D. industrial, research, or teaching experience may be considered for Assistant Professor Grade-I.
Age Limit
For candidates belonging to the UR category, the preferred age limit for Assistant Professor positions is below 35 years.
Age relaxation for OBC, SC/ST, and PwD candidates will be applicable as per Government of India norms.
Salary / Pay Scale
Assistant Professor Grade-II
- 7th CPC Pay Level: Level 10
- Minimum Basic Pay: ₹70,900/-
- Approximate Total Emoluments: ₹1,49,262/- including HRA
Assistant Professor Grade-I
- 7th CPC Pay Level: Level 12
- Minimum Basic Pay: ₹1,01,500/-
- Approximate Total Emoluments: ₹2,11,196/- including HRA
In addition to basic pay, selected candidates will be eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and other applicable benefits as per Institute rules.
