Essential Qualification:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in relevant subjects such as Plant Biotechnology, Plant Physiology, Plant Biochemistry, Life Sciences or Microbiology, with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s degree as applicable.

Candidates having a postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Master’s degree must have NET/GATE/ICAR-SRF (Ph.D. entrance) qualification and 2 years of research experience.

Candidates possessing a 5-year integrated B.Tech. and M.Tech. qualification may also be eligible as per the applicable government/DST norms specified in the notification.

Desirable Qualification:
Experience in basic plant physiology, biochemistry and molecular techniques is desirable. Candidates with experience in nucleic acid isolation, PCR, plasmid isolation, restriction, ligation, molecular marker techniques, molecular cloning, recombinant vector development, genetic transformation of crops, particle-gun-mediated transformation, plant tissue culture, and development and analysis of transgenic plants will be preferred.

Age Limit:
Male candidates – 35 years
Female candidates – 40 years
Age relaxation for eligible categories will be applicable as per Government of India rules.

Remuneration:
₹37,000 + HRA per month

Tenure:
Initially up to 6 months from the date of engagement or until completion of the project, whichever is earlier. The tenure may be extended depending on project duration, satisfactory performance and work requirements.
