Assistant Professor & Guest Faculty Recruitment 2026 at Tezpur University – Design

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in one of the following:

• Design
• Interaction Design
• Product Design
• Visual Communication Design

Bachelor’s Qualification

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree / minimum 4-year Diploma in:

• Design
• Fine Arts
• Applied Arts
• Architecture

OR

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with First Class or equivalent.

Master’s Qualification

Candidates should also possess a Master’s Degree or equivalent Postgraduate Diploma with First Class or equivalent in a relevant, concerned or allied discipline, including:

• Industrial Design
• Visual Communication
• Fine Arts
• Applied Arts
• Architecture
• Interaction Design
• New Media Studies
• Design Management
• Ergonomics
• Human Factors Engineering
• Indian Craft Studies
• Related Engineering or Design disciplines

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

Preference may be given to candidates having:

• At least 2 years of professional design experience
• Experience in industry
• Experience in research organizations
• Professional design practice experience
• Teaching or research experience in a University
• Teaching or research experience in an Institute of National Importance
