About Nirmala Memorial Foundation
Nirmala Memorial Foundation was established in 1984 by Late Shri Thakorbhai Desai in fond memory of his wife, Late Smt. Nirmala Desai.
Late Shri Thakorbhai Desai was a State Awardee for Best Teacher by the Government of Maharashtra. Under his chairmanship, the Trust began its educational activities with a Gujarati-medium school in the slum pockets of Khot Dongri, Malad (East). The school subsequently gained recognition after achieving a 100% result in the SSC examination.
