1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Essential Qualification
Candidates applying for the JRF position should possess:
- Post Graduate Degree (M.Sc.) in any of the following subjects:
- Plant Biochemistry
- Plant Molecular Biology
- Biotechnology
- Plant Physiology
- The degree should be from a recognized institution and should be supported by a 4/5-year Bachelor’s degree.
Candidates with 3-Year Bachelor’s Degree
Candidates having a 3-year Bachelor’s degree and 2-year Master’s degree should possess a valid NET qualification as prescribed.
Desirable Experience
Preference may be given to candidates having experience in:
- Gene cloning and characterization
- Heterologous expression of genes
- Basic biochemical techniques
- Handling instruments used in metabolomics
- Other relevant molecular biology and biochemical techniques
2. Young Professional-II (YP-II)
Essential Qualification
Candidates applying for the YP-II position should possess a Post Graduate Degree (M.Sc.) in any of the following disciplines:
- Plant Biochemistry
- Plant Molecular Biology
- Biotechnology
- Plant Physiology
- Environmental Science
- Bioinformatics
The degree should be from a recognized institution.
Desirable Experience
Candidates with experience in the following areas may be preferred:
- Basic molecular biology techniques
- Biochemical techniques
- Omics data characterization
- Gene cloning
- Other relevant research techniques
Salary / Pay Scale
Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- 1st and 2nd Year: ₹31,000/- per month + HRA @ 27%
- 3rd Year: ₹35,000/- per month + HRA @ 27%
The remuneration is as per applicable ICAR norms.
Young Professional-II (YP-II)
₹42,000/- per month consolidated

Candidates should attend the walk-in interview on the prescribed date with all required documents.
Documents Required
Candidates attending the interview should bring two copies of the application in the prescribed format (Annexure 1), along with:

- Attested certificate of 12th standard
- Undergraduate degree/certificate
