Faculty Recruitment 2026:

The Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh (CTUAP), Vizianagaram, has invited applications for Guest Faculty positions on a temporary basis in the Departments of Botany and Computer Science.

Eligible candidates can apply by email and appear directly for the scheduled Walk-In Interview on 1 October 2026. Candidates may also attend the interview directly with the required documents.

Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh is a Central University operating from its transit campus at Kondakarakam Village, Vizianagaram district, Andhra Pradesh. The university was established in 2019, and its jurisdiction extends across the State of Andhra Pradesh.

The university is funded by the Central Government through the University Grants Commission (UGC) and focuses on providing higher education opportunities, particularly in line with the aspirations of tribal communities.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy Eligibility A or Eligibility B as specified in the recruitment notification.

Eligibility A

Candidates should have:

i) A Master’s degree with 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point-scale system in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

ii) In addition, candidates should have cleared the UGC NET/CSIR NET, or a similar UGC-accredited examination such as SLET/SET.

Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. in accordance with the applicable UGC regulations may be exempted from the NET/SLET/SET requirement.

For candidates registered for Ph.D. before 11 July 2009, the notification specifies additional conditions relating to the mode of Ph.D., thesis evaluation, viva voce, research publications and conference presentations.

NET/SLET/SET is also not required for Master’s programmes in disciplines where such examinations are not conducted by UGC, CSIR or a similar UGC-accredited agency.

Eligibility B

Candidates who have obtained a Ph.D. degree from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking at any time by any one of the following may also be eligible:

• Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)
• Times Higher Education (THE)
• Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Honorarium

Guest Faculty will be paid an honorarium of:

₹1,500 per lecture, subject to a maximum of ₹50,000 per month, as per the current University norms and UGC guidelines stated in the notification.
