Educational Qualifications

Candidates should possess any of the following qualifications:

  • M.E./M.Tech.
  • M.Sc. or M.A. in Environmental Sciences, Economics, or Management.
  • MBA.

Candidates with a multidisciplinary academic background will be highly valued.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in content development, preferably in an academic setting.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Familiarity with the IIT Madras ecosystem is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptability to new technologies and digital learning tools.

Experience Criteria: Only relevant experience acquired after the minimum qualifying degree will be considered. Relaxation may be permitted for exceptionally outstanding candidates and, at the Institute’s discretion, for SC/ST candidates where sufficient experienced candidates are unavailable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the curriculum for the four-week NPTEL MOOC titled Sustainability for All.
  • Coordinate course instructors and subject-matter experts.
  • Support course management with IIT Madras CODE, including video editing coordination, transcript review, assignments, and learner discussion forums.
  • Assist in developing course assessment and learner feedback tools.
  • Support existing School of Sustainability course modules.
  • Prepare reports, flyers, brochures, social media content, and other communication materials.

Salary

₹45,000 per month.

Selection Process
