About the Research Project
The selected candidate will work on the DBT-funded research project titled “Enhancing regeneration and editing efficiency in groundnut and pigeonpea for trait improvement.”
The project focuses on generating transgenic groundnut lines through genome-editing approaches to support crop trait improvement.

Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in any one of the following disciplines:
- M.Sc. in Botany
- M.Sc. in Life Sciences
- M.Sc. in Biotechnology
- M.Sc. in Biochemistry
- M.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences
- M.Sc. in Plant Sciences
- Equivalent degree in a relevant discipline.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Candidates possessing the following qualifications and experience will be preferred:
- Minimum two years of experience in plant tissue culture.
- Experience in plant molecular biology.
Experience in these areas will be beneficial for carrying out the regeneration and genome-editing activities associated with the research project.
Fellowship / Salary Details
The monthly fellowship will depend on the candidate’s eligibility and qualifications.
