About the Job Opportunity
IIM Ranchi is recruiting a Research Assistant to support research and academic activities in the Operations Management Area.
The opportunity is particularly relevant to candidates with academic backgrounds in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Operations Research, Mathematics, Computing and allied disciplines.
The institute offers two engagement options.
1. Full-Time Research Assistant
- Candidates will be stationed at IIM Ranchi.

- Outstation candidates may receive an additional allowance of up to ₹5,000 per month.

- Candidates may work remotely from their respective locations.
- The appointment duration will be 3–4 months.
- Candidates currently studying in the third or fourth year of graduation may apply.
- Candidates pursuing postgraduate studies are also eligible.
- Monthly remuneration will range from ₹15,000 to ₹20,000.
- An additional allowance of up to ₹5,000 per visit may be provided for project-related travel to Ranchi.
Part-time candidates must visit IIM Ranchi whenever required for project-related activities.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must have an academic background in one of the following disciplines:
- Industrial Engineering and Management.

Eligibility for Full-Time Position
