Organization Profile: IUAC was set-up by the University Grants Commission as the first IUC called Nuclear Science Centre after due approval of the Planning Commission and the Prime Minister in October, 1984. Its construction started in December, 1986 and completed in time on December 19, 1990.
The basic objective of IUAC is to provide front ranking accelerator based research facilities to create possibilities for internationally competitive research within the university system.
