Organisation Profile: The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), establishment Awantipora, J&K, was made possible by Act No. XVIII of 2005, which was enacted by the J&K State Legislature on November 7, 2005, and announced by the State Government in the Jammu & Kashmir Government Gazette on November 11, 2005. Although the institution opened for business in November 2005, the academic program didn’t begin until July 2006.It was situated on the main National Highway (NH1A) in Kashmir, Awantipora is a small, attractive town about 30 km south of Srinagar, the capital city, and right next to the renowned saffron fields. This is where the university is located.
This important historical town served as Kashmir’s capital while Raja Awantivarman was in power. The breathtaking campus is bordered on three sides by the Jhelum River, the Himalayan Mountain Range, and a lovely almond orchard that encircles the main building.

Job Type: Temporary
Project Title: Insulation of Concrete House in Kashmir
Duration of Job: Initially for the period of six months and extendable based on the performance and subject to the availability of funds.
Qualification: B.Tech/ M.Tech Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks or equivalent and preference will be given to a candidate possessing GATE/ Master’s qualification or expertise in material science and tribology.
NOTE:
- The candidate should be completed a UG/PG in the relevant discipline with good academic records.
- The candidate should have excellent communication
- Candidates should be passionate towards teaching and guiding students
- The candidate should have good research record
Salary: Rs.20,000/- per month (consolidated)
