About the Institution:

Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (formerly Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University) was established in 1964 and inaugurated by Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri in 1965. It was renamed in 1996 in honor of Acharya N.G. Ranga — a noted freedom fighter, educationist, and leader for farmers’ welfare.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in the relevant subject
    OR

  • Master’s degree in the relevant subject with

    • Bachelor’s degree (4/5 years) in first division or equivalent OGPA

    • Minimum 3 years of teaching/research experience (Fellowship/Associateship/Training/Other engagements)

    • One published research paper in SCI/NAAS-rated (≥4.0) journal

    • Candidates with a postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences (3-year bachelor’s + 2-year master’s) must have NET qualification

Tenure:

11 months from date of joining or until the post is filled regularly, whichever is earlier

Salary:

  • ₹ 61,000/- + HRA (Master’s Degree holders)

  • ₹ 67,000/- + HRA (Ph.D. holders)
