The Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (APAU) was established on 12th June 1964 at Hyderabad and formally inaugurated on 20th March 1965 by Late Shri. Lal Bahadur Shastri, the then Prime Minister of India. The university’s building program was inaugurated by Late Smt. Indira Gandhi on 23rd June 1966.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in the relevant subject
    OR

  • Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with first division or equivalent OGPA in Bachelor’s Degree (4/5 years).

  • Minimum 3 years of teaching or research experience as evidenced from fellowship, associateship, or equivalent engagement.

  • At least one research paper published in Science Citation Index (SCI) or NAAS rated (≥4.0) journal.

  • Candidates with a Postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences having 3-year Bachelor’s + 2-year Master’s degree must possess a NET qualification.

Duration of Post:

11 months from the date of joining or till the regular post is filled, whichever is earlier.

Remuneration:

  • ₹61,000/- + HRA for Master’s Degree holders

  • ₹67,000/- + HRA for Ph.D. Degree holders
