The National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh (NIT Andhra Pradesh) has released a notification for the engagement of Adhoc Faculty on a purely temporary basis for the academic year 2025-2026. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for various departments and schools as specified below.

Departments and Eligibility Criteria

The institute is seeking qualified candidates for the following departments/schools:

  1. Engineering Departments:

    Essential Qualifications:

    • First Class in both B.Tech./B.E. and M.Tech./M.E. (or equivalent) in the respective branch of Engineering or allied branches.

    • Desirable: Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline.

  2. Biotechnology:

    • First Class in both B.Tech. and M.Tech. (or equivalent) in Biotechnology, OR

    • First Class in B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering and M.Tech. in Biotechnology/Chemical Engineering, OR

    • First Class throughout B.Sc., M.Sc., and M.Tech in Biotechnology.

    • Desirable: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.

  3. School of Sciences (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry):

    • First Class in both UG and PG in the relevant discipline.

    • Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline (candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis are also eligible).

  4. School of Humanities and Management:

    • English: First Class in both UG and PG in the relevant discipline and a Ph.D. (submitted/thesis completed candidates may apply).

    • Management:

      • First Class in B.Tech. (any branch) and MBA (Full-time), OR

      • First Class in Bachelor’s Degree (any discipline) with M.Com (Full-time) and MBA (Full-time).

      • Desirable: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline (M.Com is not mandatory for Ph.D. holders).

Remuneration

  • ₹70,000/- per month for candidates with a Ph.D. qualification.

  • ₹55,000/- per month for candidates with M.Tech./MBA or equivalent qualification.

  • Interview & Selection Process:

    • Shortlisted candidates will be notified on the institute’s website (https://nitandhra.ac.in) in the first week of July 2025.

    • Selection will be based on a Lecture Demonstration and Physical Interview at NIT Andhra Pradesh, Tadepalligudem.

    • No separate call letters will be sent; candidates must check the website regularly.

Key Instructions

  • The engagement is purely temporary and will terminate on or before 31st May 2026.

  • The contract can be terminated by either party with a 30-day notice.

  • No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

  • Accommodation (on a payment basis) may be available at the institute’s guest house or hostel for a maximum of 3 days.

  • Food facilities (paid) will be available in the canteen or hostel mess during the interview period.
