As per UGC & Maharashtra State Government norms.
Essential Qualifications
A. For Assistant Professor:
Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
Mandatory Qualification:
Cleared NET/SET conducted by UGC/CSIR OR
Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations (2009/2016).
Exemptions: Candidates with Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009, must fulfill additional conditions (thesis evaluation, publications, viva voce, etc.).
B. For College Librarian:
Master’s in Library Science/Information Science with at least 55% marks + NET/SLET or Ph.D.
C. For Director of Physical Education:
Master’s in Physical Education with 55% marks + NET/SLET or Ph.D.
Physical Fitness Test: Candidates must pass a run/walk test (distance varies by age/gender).
Relaxations
5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates in minimum qualifying marks.
Ph.D. holders with Master’s degrees obtained before September 19, 1991, need only 50% marks.
