Qualification Requirements

  1. Medical Qualification:
    A recognized medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
    (Candidates holding qualifications in Part II of the Third Schedule must meet conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act.)

  2. Postgraduate Qualification:
    MD/MS or equivalent recognized under the IMC Act, 1956 or by NMC in the relevant discipline, qualifying for teaching posts in medical institutions.

Experience

Experience requirements are as per AIIMS / NMC norms for each post level (Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor).

Pay Scale (7th CPC Levels)

  • Professor: Level 14A – ₹1,68,900 – ₹2,20,400

  • Additional Professor: Level 13A2+ – ₹1,48,200 – ₹2,11,400

  • Associate Professor: Level 13A1+ – ₹1,38,300 – ₹2,09,200

  • Assistant Professor: Level 12 – ₹1,01,500 – ₹1,67,400
