Role Overview

The Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, conducting research, mentoring students, and contributing to curriculum development and departmental academic activities.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Academic Delivery

• Deliver lectures and tutorials in Computer Science / IT subjects

• Teach courses such as:

  • Programming

  • Data Structures

  • Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning

  • Data Science

  • Cybersecurity

• Develop lecture notes and academic materials.

Curriculum Development

• Design and update course curriculum aligned with industry trends.

• Prepare assignments, laboratory work, projects, and examinations.

Research & Publications

• Conduct research in emerging areas of Computer Science.

• Publish research papers in reputed journals and conferences.

• Collaborate with faculty members on research projects.

Student Mentoring

• Guide students in academic projects and research work.

• Mentor students for career development and internships.

Departmental & Administrative Activities

• Participate in academic committees and university activities.

• Organize seminars, workshops, and technical events.

• Contribute to departmental planning and academic development.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science / Information Technology or related field (Completed or Submitted)

• Strong academic background with good research potential

• Expertise in core Computer Science subjects and programming

Preferred Skills

Knowledge in areas such as:

• Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning

• Data Science / Big Data

• Cybersecurity

• Cloud Computing

• Curriculum development and academic program design

Candidates should also have strong teaching, communication, and presentation skills.

Experience

• Teaching or research experience preferred as per UGC / AICTE norms

• Prior industry experience or academic publications will be an added advantage.
