Job Description

GITAM (Deemed to be University) invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Operations & Supply Chain Management. The selected candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, pursue high-quality research, and contribute to departmental and institutional service.

Courses to be Taught

  • Digital Transformation in Supply Chains: Technology & Innovation

  • Supply Chain Management

  • Project Management

  • Strategic Logistics Management

  • Decision Science for Business Management

  • Quality Management & Lean Six Sigma

  • Supply Chain Analytics

  • Circular Economy

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Teach UG and PG programs in Operations & Supply Chain Management

  • Engage in scholarly research and publish in peer-reviewed journals

  • Advise and mentor students academically and professionally

  • Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Contribute to departmental, college, and university service activities

  • Engage with industry partners and support student internship opportunities

 Education & Experience

  • Ph.D. in Operations & Supply Chain Management or a related field

  • MBA in Operations or a related specialization

  • Proven teaching ability or strong potential for teaching excellence

  • Demonstrated research record or potential for scholarly productivity

  • Experience or exposure to IT, Business Analytics, or Cybersecurity

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and technology-enhanced teaching

  • Ability to integrate technology, analytics, and industry practices into teaching
