Qualification:

• Candidates must possess a Master’s degree with at 55% marks ( an equivalent grade on a point scale, if applicable) in a relevant / allied discipline from an Indian University, / an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university,
• candidates required to have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC / a similar test recognized by the UGC, such SLET/SET. Those who have obtained a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards /Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 / 2016, along with any amendments, are exempt from the NET/SLET/SET requirement, provided they registered for their Ph.D. program prior to July 11, 2009.
• The Ph.D. degree has obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher  Education (THE) (iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

following conditions:-

• The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has awarded in a regular mode.
• The Ph.D. thesis has evaluated by two external examiners.
• An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted.
• The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which one is in a refereed journal.
• The candidate has presented two papers based on his/her PhD work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any other similar agency.

Pay Scale:

• The Honorarium for Guest Faculty as per entitlement i.e. Rs.1500/- per lecture subject to a maximum of Rs.50,000/- per month as per UGC norms.
