Job Title: Principal

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Principal is the chief academic and administrative officer of the college, responsible for providing visionary leadership and strategic direction. Key responsibilities include:

  • Academic Leadership: Oversee all academic programs, ensure compliance with AICTE, UGC, and university norms, and drive the institution’s autonomous status towards excellence in teaching, learning, and research.

  • Administrative Management: Manage the college’s resources efficiently, including finances, infrastructure, and human resources. Chair key academic and administrative committees.

  • Faculty & Staff Development: Mentor, motivate, and foster the professional development of faculty and staff to achieve high standards of teaching, research, and innovation.

  • Student Development: Champion initiatives for holistic student development, including placements, extracurricular activities, and overall student welfare.

Eligibility Criteria (As per AICTE Norms):

  • Qualification: Ph.D. in a relevant field of Engineering.

  • Experience:

    • A minimum of 15 years of full-time experience in teaching/research/industry, of which at least 10 years must be in a teaching position.

    • At least 5 years of experience in a senior academic leadership role (e.g., Principal, Vice-Principal, Dean, Head of Department) in an engineering institution.

  • Publications: A distinguished professional with a demonstrated record of publications in reputed journals and conferences.

  • Norms: Must meet all other eligibility criteria as stipulated by the AICTE for the position of Principal in engineering colleges.
