This unique initiative aims to study the intricate cultural, social, and economic dimensions of handloom weaving communities in Tamil Nadu. By joining this project, you will be contributing to research that not only preserves traditional practices but also provides insights into their evolving role in society.

🔹 Role Overview

We are inviting applications for the position of Research Assistant who will play a critical role in the successful execution of this project. The selected candidate will engage in:

  • Research and Analysis: Conducting in-depth statistical and analytical research in the field of social sciences.

  • Survey Design & Execution: Designing surveys, administering questionnaires, collecting data from weaving communities, and analyzing the results.

  • Documentation & Writing: Assisting in thesis writing, structuring reports, and maintaining detailed research documentation.

  • Workshops & Seminars: Supporting the organization of academic workshops, conferences, and seminars to disseminate findings.

  • Publication & Reporting: Preparing academic articles, policy briefs, and reports while strictly adhering to ethical research standards.

🔹 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must hold an MBA degree.

  • Additional qualifications such as M.Phil, Ph.D, SET, or NET are mandatory.

  • Strong analytical and writing skills are highly desirable.

  • Candidates with prior research experience, particularly in social sciences or community studies, will be given preference.

  • Ability to conduct field research and interact with diverse communities will be considered an added advantage.
