Job Title: Controller of Examinations (COE)

Job Summary

The Controller of Examinations (COE) will oversee and manage the entire examination system, ensuring all internal, external, practical, and theory examinations are conducted with accuracy, transparency, and integrity. The position requires close coordination with academic, administrative, and examination teams to uphold compliance with institutional and accreditation standards.

Educational Qualification

  • Master’s Degree in an Engineering discipline with a Ph.D.

  • Strong academic background and proficiency in academic administration and assessment systems.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Controller of Examinations (COE).

  • 10 years of experience in academic administration and examination management in a recognized educational institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and scheduling of all examinations (internal and external).

  • Managing paper setting, moderation, and secure handling of question papers.

  • Coordination with examiners, faculty, and administrative staff.

  • Overseeing result processing and declaration with complete confidentiality.

  • Maintaining examination records and reports for audit and accreditation purposes.

  • Implementing digital solutions for examination management (EMS/LMS tools).

  • Ensuring compliance with AICTE, Anna University, and institutional regulations.

  • Addressing grievances, discrepancies, and malpractice cases promptly and fairly.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong understanding of engineering curricula and assessment methods.

  • Proficiency in digital grading systems and learning management platforms.

  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to lead examiner teams and ensure seamless coordination across departments.

  • Strong organizational and analytical capabilities for data handling and result management.

Pay Scale

As per institutional norms.
