Eligibility Criteria

Assistant Professor (Grade I)

  • Ph.D.

  • Three years post-Ph.D. experience OR six years total teaching/research/industry experience.

Associate Professor

  • Ph.D.

  • Six years after Ph.D. (at least three years as Assistant Professor with AGP ₹8000)
    OR

  • Nine years total, with three years post-Ph.D. at Assistant Professor (AGP ₹8000).

Professor

  • Ph.D.

  • Ten years post-Ph.D. experience OR thirteen years total (seven years post-Ph.D.).

  • Minimum three years as Associate Professor (AGP ₹9500) or four years at AGP ₹9000/9500 in reputed institute/R&D lab/industry.

Pay Scale (As per 7th CPC)

  • Assistant Professor: Level 12 (₹30,000+ min pay, GP ₹8000)

  • Associate Professor: Level 13A2 (₹42,800+ min pay, GP ₹9500)

  • Professor: Level 14A (₹48,000+ min pay, GP ₹10,500)
