Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering & Technology (GZSCET), under Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, is the first state government–established engineering institute in Punjab. The foundation stone was laid on 23rd October 1989 by Hon’ble Governor of Punjab, Sh. S.S. Ray.
Initially founded as a Government Engineering College, it was granted autonomous status in 1992 with a Board of Governors appointed to manage the institution. In 2011, it became a campus of Punjab Technical University (now MRSPTU).
The institute is known for its strong academic standards, technical excellence, and commitment to engineering research and innovation.
